Product Development Assistant

As the PDA for RL Denim and Supply Men’s and Women’s Sweaters, I efficiently partnered with design teams, bringing creativity and innovation to every season's collections. One of my key responsibilities has been curating the color palettes, sourcing new yarns, and identifying cutting-edge trims to elevate our products. My role extended beyond the creative process, as I also excelled in managing the technical aspects of product development. This includes creating and updating detailed tech packs, sending initial Design and Cost Specification/Bill of Materials to factories, and ensuring the procurement of essential raw materials. I managed the entire spectrum of raw material color standards, overseeing lab dips, and guaranteeing consistency in product quality. I fostered vital partnerships with overseas mills to discover new qualities, continuously presenting fresh ideas to the design teams. My collaborative efforts extend to the production team, where I work directly to align product development with target margins, optimizing both creativity and financial viability. I contributed to the design process at multiple levels, participating in fittings and providing valuable input on design, color, and garment fit. My role ensured that the final products aligned with the creative vision and meet the highest standards of quality. Moreover, I held the responsibility of approving all color and yarn selections for bulk production, a role that demanded a meticulous eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of the brand's aesthetic.

Proficiency in tools such as WebPDM and FlexPLM has enabled me to excel in this multifaceted role, efficiently managing the product development process.
