Freelance Design Director

I served as the Design Director on a freelance basis for Organic Basics, overseeing the development of their loungewear launch. Over a 3-month period, I collaborated closely with the creative director to curate a collection that aligned with their ethos of sustainability. Organic Basics' commitment to fair trade and organic cotton greatly resonated with me, motivating my engagement with the project. In this role, I had the responsibility of conceptualizing and sketching silhouettes, creating detailed tech packs, actively participating in garment fittings, and providing insightful feedback to the factory. Engaging in design meetings allowed me to offer valuable input, enriching the collective creative process. Working on a product that positively impacts the environment by promoting everyday items aimed at reducing the fashion industry's carbon footprint has been highly gratifying.
